Parakeet Redux
In-browser captions use Parakeet Redux by Moondream, based on NVIDIA Parakeet TDT 0.6B v3, under CC BY 4.0. Snoopy converted the model to GGUF for browser execution, integrated a WebAssembly runtime, and omitted Redux’s original VAD head.
Parakeet Redux is Moondream’s ternary-quantized adaptation of NVIDIA’s model. Snoopy uses energy-based audio segmentation in place of Redux’s VAD.
NVIDIA’s supplied notice: “GOVERNING TERMS: Use of this model is governed by the CC-BY-4.0 license.” The license includes a disclaimer of warranties and limitation of liability.
The model remains available under CC BY 4.0; these notices add no restrictions to those rights. Attribution does not imply endorsement of Snoopy by Moondream, NVIDIA, or the runtime authors.
parakeet.cpp
The browser runtime uses a modified build of parakeet.cpp. Snoopy added browser integration and a persistent captioning interface.
